- Creates a secure seal to prevent accidental spills during pumping.

- Non-slip tab for simple insertion, alignment and removal.
Compact, portable & durable to help you pump securely anytime, anywhere.

- Safe in microwaves, boiling water, dishwashers and sterilisers.

- BPA, PVC and phthalate-free.

- Remove stopper from pump before cleaning.

- Wash before and after each use. Although dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing in warm soapy water and rinsing and drying thoroughly.

- Only soft bristle brushes or soft sponges should be used to clean this product, as hard scourers may scratch the surface.

- Do not use any bleach-based cleaners or tablets to sterilise or clean your Haakaa products.

- To sterilise, use a steam steriliser or boil in water for 2–3 minutes.

- Store product in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight.

- Check product condition regularly. Replace if product shows any signs of damage.

- Do not store near any sharp objects.

- This product is not a toy. Do not use for anything other than its intended purpose.

- Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

- As milk quantity increases in the pump, additional squeezing of the pump body may result in air or milk spurting out. Remove stopper, transfer expressed milk to a clean, sterilised container, then reinsert stopper to continue pumping without leaks.

1. Face the non-slip tab upwards and align with the spillway of the pump.

2. Press the stopper firmly into the neck of the pump, ensuring there are no gaps.
TIP: To assist with positioning, fold the flange back before inserting stopper.

3. Pump can be used as usual once stopper is inserted. Squeeze the base, centre the opening over your nipple, then release.

4. To remove, simply lift the tab and pull up.

PLEASE NOTE:
The stopper is designed with small holes to stabilise pressure. To prevent leaks, avoid tipping the pump upside down, even with the stopper inserted.

Frequently asked questions

How to use a Haakaa pump?
  1. Before using a Haakaa pump, it is recommended to sterilise it by boiling in water for 2-3 mins (if you have a steam steriliser, you can use this if you prefer).
  2. Place the pump flange over your nipple - make sure your nipple is centred comfortably in the neck of the pump. You can either fold the flange back and push the body of the pump to achieve a stronger suction or just push the air out by squeezing the pump's body without folding the flange back to get a lighter suction. Remember, the more air you squeeze out, the stronger the suction.
  3. Apply suction - you may need to adjust the position of your pump a couple of times. Once the pump is secure and comfortable, apply suction by squeezing the base of the pump to start the flow of the milk. Once milk starts to flow, leave the pump alone to do its thing.
  4. If milk flow slows down or you have expressed your desired amount, detach the pump from your breast and safely store your milk.
Can you catch both foremilk and hindmilk when expressing using our Haakaa breast pumps?
The Haakaa Silicone Breast Pump was originally designed as a manual pump for mums, but can also be used as a tool to catch letdown. When we breastfeed from one side, we generally have a letdown from the breast on the opposite side - though this milk is often wasted through leakage into a breast pad or in your bra. Haakaa pumps are perfect for capturing your leakage, ensuring it doesn’t go to waste. Simply pop on your pump at the beginning of a feed for a few mins to catch your precious liquid gold! Once your initial letdown has slowed, you can then remove your pump. You will likely capture mainly foremilk in these first few minutes (which is 100% fine!). If you want to use the pump to empty your breast, simply leave it on until the breast is drained to get both fore and hindmilk (usually about 10-12 mins).
What are the benefits of using a Haakaa pump?
1. Relieves engorged and uncomfortable breasts
2. Builds a breastmilk stash
3. Fantastic on-the-go pumping option
4. No electricity or charging needed
5. Easy to clean
6. Catches letdown
7. Pain-free if applied correctly
8. One-piece silicone
Why am I not getting enough milk?
There can be different reasons for this. A low milk supply can result from not pumping enough, pumping too soon after a feeding session or skipping a feed. You may also have a low supply if you're using a suction level that is not suitable or comfortable for you or even if you simply require more hydration throughout the day. Being stressed or under pressure can also affect your supply or the amount you express in a session.
How to clean and disinfect the Haakaa pump?
We strongly recommend cleaning your Haakaa pump with warm, soapy water and then sterilising it with any steam sterilising system or by boiling in water for 2-3 mins. Do not use any bleach-based agents or sterilising tablets to clean this product, as this could affect the lifespan of the pump. It is also not recommended to use UV sterilisers to clean the pump, as they may impact the lifespan of your pump as well.
